About the Reliable Recall Workshop:
Is your dog's recall a case of hit-or-miss? Are you tired of shouting after your dog as he or she disappears over the horizon? Does he or she ignore you around other dogs?
Then it's time to do something about it! In this workshop, we will help you build a strong foundation for your recall and teach you how to continue to develop and train your reliable recall.
This 2-hour workshop is held by Dr Julia Taylor (Bespoke Dog Training) and Aileen Hodgson (K9 Kind Training), i.e. two fully trained and insured dog training instructors. We are both Animal Training Instructors registered with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC-ATI), which ensures that we use only ethical and force-free dog training methods.
This workshop is for dogs over 6 months of age. Each place is for one dog and one handler (plus one guest per handler).
We'll work in a small group of a maximum of 5 participants.
The workshop will take place in Forteviot Village Hall, but we have the option of working outside if the weather permits.
Please note that this workshop is not suitable for dogs that lunge and bark at other dogs when walking ("reactive dogs"), as we are working as a group and amongst other dogs. We are always happy to work with these dogs on a one-to-one basis though!

About the Introduction to Scentwork Workshop:
Have you been curious about scentwork but are unsure how to do it?
Did you know that dogs experience the world primarily through their noses? Where humans have around 5 million scent receptors, dogs have up to 300 million! Asking our dogs to follow and find a scent is a fun and rewarding activity for dogs and their handlers. Dogs of all ages and breeds can do scentwork and it's a fantastic form of enrichment for dogs.
In this workshop, we will cover the basics of scent work and help you teach your dogs to target, find and follow a particular scent. We'll use scent tins to get you started and show you how to build this into a fun and enriching game that you can develop together beyond the session.

About the Loose Lead Walking Classes:
Are walks with your dog more of a struggle than a pleasure?
Are you used to being pulled down the street, with white knuckles and a sore shoulder? Constantly asking for attention that never quite comes?
Loose lead walking is one of the most common challenges for dog owners... and one of the most frustrating to live with day to day. The good news is that loose lead walking is a skill that can be taught and learned in a way that makes sense for both you and your dog.
In our loose lead walking classes, we’ll show you exactly how to build calmer, more enjoyable walks together. You’ll learn the practical skills needed to make loose lead walking your default, as well as how to handle those more challenging moments when things don’t go to plan.
This 4-week block of classes is facilitated by Dr Julia Taylor (Bespoke Dog Training) and Aileen Hodgson (K9 Kind Training), i.e. two fully trained and insured dog training instructors.
